Job Title: Senior Java Backend Engineer

Job Description:

We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Backend Engineer to join our growing tech team. In this role, you’ll write secure, optimized code and play a key part in shaping the architecture and scalability of our core systems. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to build new features, ensure performance and reliability, and mentor junior developers to uphold a strong engineering culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop clean, secure, and optimized Java code independently.

• Collaborate across departments to deliver robust features and system enhancements.

• Participate in architectural decisions and long-term system planning.

• Conduct thorough code reviews and ensure adherence to coding best practices.

• Mentor junior engineers, encouraging high standards in engineering quality.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex backend issues and performance bottlenecks.

• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date technical documentation.

• Recommend improvements to existing Java infrastructure for enhanced performance.

• Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems.

• Support the full software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment.

• Research and present new technologies and functional alternatives for review.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.

• Excellent understanding of relational databases, SQL, and ORM frameworks like Hibernate and JPA2.

• Solid grasp of Object-Oriented Design principles and backend system architecture.

• Proficient in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Skilled in infrastructure analysis, performance tuning, and system optimization.

• Familiarity with DevOps tools and continuous integration practices.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying system gaps.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Java backend development.

• Based in the United Arab Emirates.
