The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Architect for a 12-month contract to design and implement scalable, high-performance data architectures that support our growing business and analytics needs. In this role, you will define data strategies, optimize analytics platforms, and ensure data security, integrity, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

Data Architecture & Strategy

• Design and develop enterprise-level data architectures that support Presight’s business goals.
• Implement large-scale data integration, transformation, and storage solutions.
• Define standards for data modeling, schema design, and metadata management.

Data Governance & Quality

• Ensure data quality, security, and consistency across all platforms.
• Implement and enforce data governance policies in collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards.

Technical Leadership & Innovation

• Guide and mentor data engineers, analysts, and cross-functional teams.
• Evaluate and integrate cutting-edge data technologies and tools.
• Optimize data pipelines and workflows for performance and cost efficiency.

Collaboration & Business Alignment

• Partner with AI/ML teams, product development, and business units to align data strategies.
• Work with business leaders to identify data-driven opportunities for competitive advantage.
• Develop roadmaps for implementing modern data architectures, including cloud and hybrid solutions.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architectures, processes, and best practices.
• Provide regular reports on data architecture progress, challenges, and solutions to senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment), Information Security, Privacy, and Governance policies.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-level data solutions.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid on-premises solutions.

Technical Expertise

• Expertise in Master Data Management (MDM) and data governance tools.
• Strong understanding of data management patterns and methodologies.
• Proficiency in big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) and modern databases (Snowflake, MongoDB, ClickHouse).
• Advanced knowledge of ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Talend).
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, and SQL.

Leadership & Analytical Skills

• Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams.
• Expertise in data modeling and designing logical and physical data models.
