Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, and day-to-day bookkeeping, with a solid understanding of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations. This role requires an individual with exceptional organizational skills, accuracy, and a commitment to regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports

• Ensure all financial reports align with GAAP/IFRS and local regulatory requirements

2. Bookkeeping

• Handle daily accounting functions such as transaction recording and journal entries

• Maintain ledgers and reconcile bank statements

3. Tax Preparation & Planning

• Prepare and file VAT and corporate tax returns

• Provide strategic tax planning to minimize liabilities and ensure full compliance

4. Auditing & Internal Controls

• Support both internal and external audit processes

• Implement and monitor internal control systems to reduce financial risk and detect discrepancies

5. Compliance & Regulation

• Stay current with UAE financial regulations and tax laws

• Ensure the company adheres to all reporting and documentation standards required by law

6. Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Oversee AP/AR functions to ensure timely invoicing, collections, and vendor payments

• Coordinate with vendors, clients, and internal departments on payment matters

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Accountant, preferably in the UAE

• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax frameworks

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive financial data with confidentiality
