The Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD) is seeking a qualified and experienced Section Head – Youth and Community to lead the planning, development, and execution of environmental outreach programmes targeting schools, youth, and the wider community. This full-time, on-site role involves collaborating with key education and government stakeholders to promote environmental sustainability and behavioral change in alignment with EAD’s core strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the broader outreach strategy by developing and aligning youth and school-based programmes with environmental priorities.

• Plan and manage educational campaigns, defining objectives, target audiences, and desired outcomes for school outreach.

• Develop comprehensive learning materials, modules, and toolkits in coordination with ADEK, ESE, and international experts.

• Design and oversee environmental initiatives for schools, ensuring their alignment with programme goals.

• Strengthen collaboration with ADEK and ESE to embed sustainability within Abu Dhabi’s educational curriculum and support teacher training.

• Coordinate with vendors and partners to ensure effective execution of initiatives and communication plans.

• Work closely with the Communications team to maintain consistency in branding and messaging.

• Lead the roll-out and communication of outreach initiatives across schools, using impactful channels.

• Apply best-in-class evaluation methods to monitor programme impact and behavioral change.

• Collaborate with other Outreach Division sections to conduct and distribute environmental awareness surveys.

• Analyze feedback and revise programmes for continued relevance and effectiveness.

• Establish and nurture partnerships with schools and stakeholders to sustain long-term engagement.

• Represent EAD at educational conferences and events, advocating for environmental awareness and sustainability.

Requirements:

• Experience: 8–15 years in community engagement or educational sectors, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Prior experience in the environmental sector is highly desirable.

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Communication, Marketing, or a related field.

• Strong background in youth and community programme management.

• Proven ability to engage and collaborate with government and educational institutions.

• Effective communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills.

• Knowledge of environmental issues, sustainability education, and behavior change techniques is preferred.
