The English College, Dubai, is seeking an experienced School Counselor to join their whole school community for an immediate start. The role focuses on supporting students’ academic, emotional, physical, and social growth through counseling, well-being initiatives, and collaboration with staff and families. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in school counseling, a passion for holistic education, and a compassionate approach to fostering resilience and mental well-being in students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions for students.

• Support emotional and mental health needs, including stress, anxiety, and personal challenges.

• Collaborate with teachers, families, and leadership to create a safe and inclusive school environment.

• Implement well-being strategies and initiatives across the school.

• Safeguard student welfare and maintain confidentiality in line with school policy.

• Contribute to extracurricular programs and pastoral care initiatives.

• Engage in professional learning to continually improve counseling practices.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related field.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a school counseling role.

• Relevant counseling certifications preferred.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to maintain professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.

• Familiarity with safeguarding protocols and child protection policies.
