Galadari Brothers, one of the UAE’s largest business conglomerates, is seeking a qualified Safety Officer to join their Media Division at Galadari Printing and Publishing Co. L.L.C, the publishing house behind Khaleej Times. This full-time, on-site role focuses on ensuring health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance within the manufacturing/printing environment, promoting a safe workplace for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor daily operations to ensure compliance with HSE policies and legal requirements, including Dubai Municipality, MoHRE, Civil Defense, and UAE Fire and Life Safety Code.

• Identify hazards in printing areas such as exposure to inks, solvents, cutting machinery, noise, and heat; conduct risk assessments and implement control measures.

• Perform regular site inspections, fire safety checks, and machinery safety audits; support internal and external audits (ISO 45001, Dubai Municipality).

• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions, maintaining thorough documentation.

• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training on PPE use, safe machine operation, chemical handling, and emergency preparedness.

• Maintain and test fire alarm systems, extinguishers, evacuation plans, and lead fire drills and emergency exercises.

• Maintain HSE records including incident reports, inspection logs, MSDS, risk assessments, and training records; submit regular safety reports to management.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.

• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification is mandatory.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in HSE within manufacturing, printing, or publishing industries.

• Knowledge of hazardous materials (solvents, inks, flammable storage) and UAE labor law & HSE regulations.

• Strong communication and reporting skills in English; Arabic is a plus.

• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
