Al Khaleej Sugar Co, a leading sugar refinery in Dubai, is seeking a Safety Engineer to ensure compliance with health, safety, and ISO standards in refinery operations. The role involves conducting inspections, risk assessments, accident investigations, training employees, and maintaining safety documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Implement and enforce refinery safety standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ISO requirements.
🔹 Conduct health & safety inspections, report findings, and log incidents and near-miss reports.
🔹 Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents, ensuring proper documentation and corrective actions.
🔹 Review and maintain safety documents, including permit to work, risk assessments, and method statements.
🔹 Maintain safety records and databases, updating plans and compliance reports.
🔹 Train and conduct refresher courses for refinery staff on safety protocols and compliance.
🔹 Monitor and implement the permit-to-work system effectively.
🔹 Ensure workplace cleanliness, housekeeping, and safety standards are met.
🔹 Conduct internal audits based on Integrated Management System (IMS) standards.
🔹 Ensure adherence to ISO 17025, ISO 27001, HACCP, Food Safety, and SEDEX requirements.

Key Requirements:

✅ Degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
✅ Experience in industrial safety, preferably in manufacturing or refinery operations.
✅ Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations, risk assessments, and ISO compliance.
✅ Experience in accident investigations and workplace safety audits.
✅ Ability to conduct safety training sessions and enforce compliance.
✅ Proficiency in document control and safety reporting.
✅ Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
