• The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) is seeking a skilled professional to oversee procurement services and vendor management for the Marketing & Media category. This role involves leading procurement strategies, managing long-term planning, and optimizing relationships with large suppliers. The position also requires managing project initiatives, contract negotiations, and continuous improvement in procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead procurement strategy development and related initiatives/projects.

• Establish procurement metrics, standards, and objectives aligned with DET’s goals.

• Develop long-term plans and strategies for categories under DET’s umbrella.

• Manage relationships with large suppliers, attending business-critical meetings.

• Act as project manager in category management to optimize product ranges and merchandising.

• Oversee analysis activities to understand organizational needs and drive data-driven sourcing.

• Lead the resolution of escalated cases and handle inquiries from key stakeholders.

• Manage end-to-end contracting processes for strategic/high-importance contracts.

• Develop and lead the creation of RFPs, evaluate them, and negotiate contract terms.

• Formulate and sign contracts with suppliers, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

• Manage vendor relationships and support negotiations for lasting, profitable partnerships.

• Maintain vendor lists, databases, and performance management processes.

• Propose and manage improvements to procurement processes and systems.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in procurement and vendor management.

• Strong knowledge of contract management and procurement strategies.

• Experience leading complex projects and negotiations.

• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
