Job Title: Risk Control Manager

Job Description:

ByteDance is seeking a highly skilled Risk Control Manager to join our global Risk Control team. This pivotal role will allow you to play a key part in assessing risks, evaluating internal controls, and driving improvements to ByteDance’s global operations. As a Risk Control Manager, you will collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams, identify gaps in internal controls, and use data-driven solutions to help mitigate risks across ByteDance’s global functions. This role requires someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment, and can independently lead global risk assessment projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead global projects to assess and identify risks, review and analyze policies, and map controls to risks and processes. Identify gaps and recommend improvements to enhance internal controls.

2. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring that significant business risks are addressed effectively. Work with cross-functional teams, including all lines of defense, to foster a robust internal control environment.

3. Design, develop, and implement innovative data analytics solutions for assessing risk, monitoring controls, and supporting process improvement efforts across the organization.

4. Keep up to date with the latest technological trends and emerging risks. Develop novel strategies to identify and address internal and external fraud or misconduct.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline such as Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.

• Strong understanding of internal controls and risk management functions.

• Proficiency in data manipulation using SQL or other programming languages/tools.

• Experience in developing dashboards, conducting quantitative analysis, and generating visual reports.

• Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders and drive action in ambiguous situations, working as a trusted risk partner across functions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in the Tech, Media, or E-Commerce industries.

• At least 3+ years of relevant work experience in data analytics, risk management, internal controls, or internal audit.

• Detail-oriented, self-driven, with strong cross-functional collaboration skills. Project Management experience is a plus.
