Job Title: Retail Design Manager – RDD

Job Overview:

The Design Manager will be responsible for enhancing the functionality and visual appeal of retail spaces in operational malls across the MENA region. This role involves reviewing tenant design submissions, managing unit refurbishments during lease renewals, and maintaining the Excellence Center and materials library. The role demands a balance of innovation, practicality, and compliance with global retail standards.

📊 Reports To: Head of Retail Design & Delivery

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Tenant Design Review & Approval

• Assess tenant design submissions to ensure compliance with landlord design criteria.
• Work closely with the Retail Delivery Team (RDT) to ensure timely concept and detailed design approvals.

🔹 Unit Refurbishment & Lease Renewals

• Oversee refurbishment projects to maintain high-quality retail spaces.
• Monitor design and construction progress to address potential issues in fit-outs and program execution.

🔹 Design Standards & Innovation

• Implement global retail trends while ensuring practical and customer-centric designs.
• Maintain and develop the Excellence Center & Materials Library for tenant references.

🔹 Stakeholder Coordination

• Collaborate with internal teams, landlords, tenants, and contractors for smooth design execution.
• Ensure adherence to MENA-specific building codes and regulations.

Qualifications & Experience:

🎓 Education: Degree in Interior Design or Architecture (or equivalent experience).
📅 Experience:

• 8+ years in retail/commercial design, including refurbishment projects.
• 3+ years in a managerial role handling large-scale projects.
