Job Title: Retail Cashier & POS Operations Associate

Job Description:
We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Retail Cashier & POS Operations Associate to manage point-of-sale transactions, maintain checkout accuracy, and contribute to a smooth customer experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, a customer-focused attitude, and an ability to uphold store security and cash-handling protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately process all customer transactions at the point of sale, including scanning items, verifying prices, applying discounts, and handling various forms of payment (cash, credit, debit)

• Participate in opening and closing duties such as reconciling the cash drawer, preparing deposits, and following security procedures

• Ensure the checkout area is clean and organized, including restocking bags and replenishing product displays

• Follow company procedures to prevent theft, manage risks, and ensure asset protection

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve customer inquiries and maintain a welcoming store environment

• Uphold accuracy and attention to detail during checkout to reduce pricing errors and ensure smooth transactions

• Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while assisting customers and supporting store operations

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong adaptability to new point-of-sale (POS) systems and operational procedures

• Excellent verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and coworkers

• High attention to detail in verifying prices, quantities, and discounts

• Skilled in secure and error-free cash, credit, and debit transaction processing

• Team-oriented with a proactive and customer-first mindset

• Prior cashier or retail experience is a plus
