Position: Senior Resident Engineer (Horizontal & Infrastructure)

Job Overview:

A leading multinational design & engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Resident Engineer (SRE) with extensive experience in managing horizontal and infrastructure masterplan projects. This is a direct-hire, permanent opportunity for an experienced professional to lead construction supervision in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities:

Construction Supervision & Compliance:

• Serve as the Engineer of Record, ensuring compliance with contract terms.

• Directly communicate with contractors, inspect construction activities, and issue corrective actions.

• Ensure safety, quality, and project timelines are met.

Project Management & Coordination:

• Lead a construction supervision team, including site engineers, work inspectors, and surveyors.

• Provide technical guidance, review shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions.

• Act as a liaison between design engineers, contractors, and authorities to resolve project issues.

Financial & Contractual Management:

• Recommend contractor payments, claims, and variation orders to the employer.

• Advise on contractual matters, including financial and regulatory compliance.

• Maintain accurate records, reports, and progress tracking.

Health, Safety, & Quality Assurance:

• Ensure strict adherence to HSE regulations and conduct safety audits.

• Review accident reports, near-miss incidents, and implement risk management strategies.

• Maintain quality control standards, analyze laboratory reports, and implement acceptance sampling plans.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).

• 15+ years of post-graduate experience in supervision and construction management of major mixed-use horizontal and infrastructure projects.

• Strong client and stakeholder management skills.

• Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.

• Proficiency in contract administration, quality control, and material specifications.

• Fully computer-literate, with experience in project management software.
