As a Research Scientist Intern, you will contribute to advancing AI-driven biology research. This role involves conducting experiments, improving models, analyzing datasets, and collaborating with AI/ML researchers and computational biologists to enhance state-of-the-art biological AI foundation models. Key Responsibilities

Conduct research in AI and computational biology to support innovative projects.

Improve existing models and develop new methodologies for biology-driven AI.

Design and execute experiments, analyze complex datasets, and validate results using statistical techniques.

Collaborate with AI/ML researchers and computational biologists to advance biological foundation models.

Contribute to the development of scalable, robust, and efficient AI systems.
Qualifications

Current M.S. or Ph.D. student (or equivalent expertise) in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related technical fields.

Strong skills in deep learning development using JAX, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.

Knowledge in generative models, graph neural networks, or large-scale deep learning applications.

Solid theoretical foundation (statistics, optimization, graph theory, linear algebra).

Passion for AI + Biology research and willingness to learn domain-specific knowledge.

Self-driven with the ability to work in a startup environment with evolving objectives.

Familiarity with software engineering best practices (version control, documentation, testing).
Nice to Have

3rd-year PhD student or above.

Published research in top AI/ML or biology journals and conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, Nature, Science).

Previous industry research internship (e.g., OpenAI, DeepMind, FAIR, Google Research).

Hands-on experience at the intersection of AI and Biology.

Experience with large-scale distributed training and inference.

Contributions to open-source projects widely used by the research community.
