Khalifa University, the top-ranked university in the UAE, is looking for a Research Assistant to contribute to groundbreaking research on cosmic-ray propagation. The role involves testing the escape time of cosmic rays from the Galaxy at different energy levels, using simulations and diffusion equations. The research will provide a better understanding of the transition from Galactic to extragalactic cosmic rays.

Key Responsibilities:

🛰️ Research & Analysis: Conduct simulations and solve diffusion equations to analyze cosmic-ray propagation.
📊 Data Interpretation: Compare different methodologies for cosmic-ray escape time analysis.
📚 Research Dissemination: Contribute to academic publications and research presentations.
🔍 Collaboration: Work alongside researchers and graduate students in a multidisciplinary environment.
⚖️ Compliance: Follow university security, confidentiality, and ethical research policies.
🛠️ Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other research-related tasks as assigned by the Line Manager.

Eligibility Criteria:

✅ Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Physics or a related discipline.
✅ Research Experience: Previous involvement in scientific research and academic publications.
✅ Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and reasoning abilities.
✅ Communication Skills: Excellent English proficiency (verbal & written).
✅ Team Player: Ability to collaborate in a research-focused environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

🎓 Degree from a Top-Ranked University: Bachelor’s from a QS or THE Top 200 university.
📄 Publications: Experience contributing to high-impact research papers.
🔬 Research Experience: At least 1 year of academic or industry research experience.
