The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), Department of Family Medicine, is seeking a full-time Research Assistant to join the College of Medicine and Health Sciences. This role involves active participation in research, teaching, and administrative activities, with responsibilities spanning project management, data collection, statistical analysis, and academic support. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and skilled in both clinical and laboratory research practices.
Key Responsibilities:

Research & Data Management
-
Recruit, screen, and enroll eligible study participants in compliance with ethical guidelines.

Conduct data collection, entry, cleaning, validation, and analysis using statistical software (R, SPSS, STATA, SAS, REDCap).

Prepare manuscripts, reports, and grant proposals.
-
Project Coordination & Administration
-
Manage the financial and operational aspects of research projects.
-
Coordinate laboratory operations, grant submissions, and publication processes.
-
Maintain communication with principal investigators and team members to track progress.

Regulatory & Documentation Compliance
-
Maintain accurate study documentation including source files, case report forms, and regulatory binders.

Ensure compliance with IRB, ICH-GCP, and institutional guidelines.

Prepare for audits and regulatory inspections.

Sample Collection & Laboratory Work
-
Coordinate and process biological samples according to biosafety protocols.

Maintain detailed inventory of biospecimens and laboratory supplies.

Academic & Training Support
-
Guide postgraduate students, medical trainees, and interns in research activities.

Participate in educational and training programs within the department.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
-
MD, MBBS, B.Sc., or M.Sc. in a relevant discipline.

2–3 years of experience in academic or research institutions, preferably in biomedical or clinical research.

Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (R, SPSS, STATA, SAS) and REDCap database management.

Strong verbal and written communication skills (Arabic language preferred).

Experience in project management, data handling, and laboratory procedures.

Ability to train and supervise research staff and students.
