Senior Quantity Surveyor – MRICS Certified (FIDIC Expertise)

Position Overview:
KEO is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Dubai, UAE. This role is pivotal in overseeing cost management, contract administration, and financial control for a major construction project. The successful candidate must be MRICS certified, possess extensive expertise in FIDIC contracts, and demonstrate a strong background in managing large-scale project budgets, procurement, and cost estimation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full project budgeting and financial reporting, ensuring alignment with approved cost plans.

  • Prepare, oversee, and manage procurement and tendering documentation to facilitate contractor selection.

  • Administer FIDIC contracts, managing claims, variations, compliance, and dispute resolution.

  • Deliver accurate cost estimations for all project stages, considering construction methods and resource allocation.

  • Track all financial activities including payments, contractor claims, and prepare periodic cost reports for stakeholders.

  • Manage change control processes and assess financial implications of project variations.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Participate in value engineering efforts to optimize costs without compromising quality.

  • Maintain strong client, contractor, and consultant relationships, providing expert advice on all contractual and financial matters.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.

  • MRICS certification is mandatory.

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in quantity surveying, with extensive exposure to FIDIC-based contracts.

  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, procurement, and cost control.

  • Excellent financial acumen, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Experience in large-scale, high-profile construction projects is highly preferred.

  • Proficiency in project management and cost control software.
