GEMS World Academy – Dubai, a prestigious IB World School and member of GEMS Education, is seeking a dedicated PYP Teaching Assistant to join its Primary department. This role is vital in providing academic, social, and emotional support to students while working closely with classroom teachers to ensure a nurturing and effective learning environment. The successful candidate will play an active part in fostering a culture of kindness, creativity, and academic excellence while supporting the school’s mission to develop reflective, caring, and globally-minded learners.

💼 Key Responsibilities:

• Support classroom teachers by assisting students individually, in small groups, or as a class with academic and creative activities.

• Monitor and report student progress while supporting their social and emotional well-being.

• Assist with classroom management and help maintain a safe, child-centered, and organized learning environment.

• Supervise students during recess, field trips, and excursions.

• Step in as a substitute during teacher absences when required.

• Collaborate with teachers to address students’ health, clothing, and general welfare needs.

• Participate in professional development workshops and training sessions.

• Maintain confidentiality in all matters related to students and school operations.

🛠 Skills & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or minimum High School Diploma.

• At least 3 years of classroom experience in a similar role.

• Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.

• Positive interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare (police clearance required).
