ZTE Corporation, a global leader in telecommunications and information technology, is seeking a highly experienced Project Director to lead its RAN (Radio Access Network) initiatives in Abu Dhabi. The role requires strategic oversight of multi-generation RAN technologies (2G to 5G), team leadership, customer engagement, technical innovation, and network optimization. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

• Define and lead the strategy for RAN product lines, including 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, and 5G NR.

• Align technical direction with company goals and market trends.

• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all RAN technologies.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

• Manage a team of engineers and technical experts, driving innovation and excellence.

• Promote collaboration across R&D, Product Management, and Sales.

• Mentor team members and foster technical growth.

Technical Support & Customer Engagement:

• Provide high-level technical support to both internal teams and customers.

• Engage with key accounts as the lead technical contact.

• Support pre-sales and post-sales activities, including solution architecture and workshops.

• Oversee RAN deployment and network optimization.

Product Development & Innovation:

• Work with R&D to define new features and advancements in RAN, especially 5G, vRAN, and network slicing.

• Influence product roadmaps based on market feedback and emerging technologies.

Network Performance & Optimization:

• Lead monitoring and optimization of RAN network performance.

• Establish RF design, network planning, and optimization best practices.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex RAN issues swiftly and effectively.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science, or related field.

• Advanced RAN-related certifications (e.g., LTE, 5G) preferred.

• Minimum 10 years of telecom experience, with 5+ years in senior RAN leadership roles.

• Proven record in managing large-scale RAN deployments and optimizations.

• In-depth knowledge of RAN architecture, vRAN, C-RAN, and network slicing.

• Strong hands-on experience in RAN integration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
