Wood, a global leader in engineering and consultancy, is seeking a Project Accountant / Analyst to join its team in Dubai. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for a finance professional with experience in financial reporting, data analysis, and project-based accounting. The role involves managing accurate accounting entries, invoicing, cash flow, and delivering data-driven insights to support business decisions.

The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop dashboards, and ensure timely reporting for both internal stakeholders and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and timely accounting entries for assigned projects or contracts

• Prepare and issue invoices in line with contract terms

• Monitor and manage cash flow effectively

• Analyze billing and cost rates, margins, and profitability

• Coordinate with Business Management and Finance team on budgets and forecasts

• Focus on reducing Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and managing unbilled items

• Gather and analyze financial data to identify trends and anomalies

• Create and maintain databases and analytical tools for financial reporting

• Develop dashboards, reports, and visual presentations to support financial insight

• Collaborate with various departments to ensure data accuracy

Skills & Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or Accounting

• Professional certifications (CIMA / ACCA or equivalent) preferred

• Data analytics and/or programming certifications are a plus

• At least 3 years of financial analysis experience

• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial systems (e.g., Oracle)

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI

• Strong commercial awareness and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ethical, reliable, and eager to learn
