Hays is hiring a Product / Service Design Manager to lead service design activities for their projects. This role involves working within an interdisciplinary team to define and visualize user and service experiences, using service design methodologies and research techniques. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in service design, with expertise in user-centered design and strong skills in research, prototyping, and leading design workshops.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide service design expertise, leading activities like user research, journey mapping, service blueprints, and prototyping.

• Discover customer demands and pain points using various design research methodologies.

• Analyze research data to generate insights into user behavior and service opportunities.

• Plan and coordinate independent research studies (e.g., UX research, anthropological studies).

• Manage service design deliverables such as solution concepts, blueprints, and design artifacts.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create user-centric workflows and service solutions.

• Lead and manage workshops to develop new products, services, and experiences.

• Assess the value of design concepts and ensure innovative service delivery methods are adopted.

• Ensure the quality of execution within the service delivery team.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in service design, product design, interaction design, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in service design, including working on projects with multiple touchpoints.

• Strong knowledge of design research, design strategy, and service design methodologies.

• Proven ability to lead design sprints, workshops, and develop user-centered solutions.

• Excellent relationship-building skills with stakeholders and business partners.
