Job Description:

A top 10-ranked main contractor in the UAE is seeking an experienced Procurement Director to lead and develop its procurement team. With 35+ years of success and 220+ completed projects, this company specializes in delivering 5-star hotels, high-rise towers, residential, commercial, and retail developments. This is a leadership role requiring a strategic mindset, strong supplier relationships, and extensive UAE market knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the procurement department across headquarters and multiple project sites.

  • Oversee pre-construction procurement and post-contract award processes to ensure seamless project execution.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to drive cost-effective procurement strategies.

  • Collaborate with Contracts, Operations, and Estimation departments, reporting directly to the CEO.

  • Ensure compliance with contractual, financial, and regulatory requirements while maintaining fair and transparent procurement practices.

  • Optimize supply chain strategies, ensuring win-win solutions for all parties.

  • Spearhead procurement planning for projects ranging from AED 300M to AED 3.2B across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, RAK, and Fujairah.

  • Manage a multinational team of 15–50 procurement professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years of post-graduate experience, with at least 10 years in procurement roles within main contracting firms handling building projects.

  • At least 6 years of procurement leadership experience in the MENA region.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.

  • Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPP, or CPIM are preferred but not mandatory.

  • Strong negotiation, management, and communication skills with a strategic approach to procurement.

  • Proven ability to manage complex procurement processes and drive operational efficiencies.

  • Experience working with government entities, developers, and private sector clients.

  • Currently available or willing to relocate to Dubai.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Salary: AED 50,000 – 70,000 per month (inclusive of fixed allowances).

  • Additional Benefits: Family flights, medical insurance, and performance-based bonus.
