McDermott International is seeking a Principal Civil/Structural Designer to join their team in Dubai. This key role involves preparing and developing conceptual, FEED, and detailed design drawings for offshore structures. The designer will coordinate a team, lead projects, and ensure design deliverables are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality conceptual, FEED, and detailed design drawings

• Ensure clash-free 3D models in coordination with all disciplines

• Lead design teams, set priorities, and forecast resource requirements

• Act as a coordinator for 3D Macros development in E3D/S3D

• Oversee design execution, ensuring compliance with standards, schedule, and budget

• Prepare Civil and Structural layouts in close collaboration with engineers

• Attend project meetings, including Kickoff and Review meetings

• Monitor design team progress and productivity

• Review designs for constructability, maintainability, and HSE aspects

• Participate in proposals and CSA design work

Requirements:

• 15 years of offshore structure experience

• Expertise in E3D & S3D (mandatory)

• High School diploma in Civil or Structural disciplines or equivalent experience

• 10+ years of experience with major contractors or consultants, including 5+ years in oil and gas

• Detailed knowledge of industry detailing standards & codes

• Expertise in 3D and 2D drafting (AutoCAD and/or MicroStation)

• Minimum of 2 projects working/reviewing experience in E3D and/or S3D

• Ability to lead projects and work on miscellaneous steel engineering

• Experience in CSA design work for proposals
