We are seeking a full-time Pharmacist – In-Patient to join our team in Al Ain. The pharmacist will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, effective, and appropriate use of medications for hospitalized patients. Working alongside a multidisciplinary healthcare team, the role requires clinical expertise, operational management, and patient education to optimize pharmacotherapy outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Review and verify physician medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions.

Prepare and dispense medications including oral, injectable, and topical forms, in compliance with hospital protocols.

Monitor patient medication therapies for efficacy, side effects, and adverse reactions, providing pharmacokinetic consultations and adjusting dosages accordingly.

Participate in multidisciplinary ward rounds contributing to patient care plans.

Educate patients and caregivers about medication use, side effects, and adherence.

Respond to drug-related inquiries from healthcare professionals using evidence-based resources.

Supervise pharmacy technicians and interns to ensure safety and quality compliance.

Maintain accurate inventory control of medications and supplies with proper storage and rotation.

Ensure adherence to UAE Ministry of Health regulations and hospital policies.

Support antimicrobial stewardship programs and maintain aseptic techniques in sterile compounding and IV preparation.

Document interventions and medication errors to drive continuous quality improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:

Education and licensure as per UAE DOH PQR with a valid UAE DOH License.

Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in hospital or clinical pharmacy settings. Experience in oncology, pediatrics, or critical care is a plus.

Strong knowledge of pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and drug interactions.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Proficiency with pharmacy information systems and electronic health records.

High attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
