Job Summary

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is looking for Perioperative Staff Nurses with recent experience in PACU/Prep Recovery to join their team in Abu Dhabi. The position offers a tax-free salary, along with relocation costs, visa, and medical insurance provided.

As a Perioperative Staff Nurse – PACU, you will be responsible for providing general and specialized direct and indirect patient care by applying evidence-based nursing procedures. This includes addressing the behavioral, growth, developmental, and psychosocial needs of patients across all ages.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment & Care: Perform patient admissions, ongoing assessments, and update care plans based on individual patient needs.

• Direct Patient Care: Provide direct care and evaluate outcomes, incorporating principles of family-centered care.

• Monitoring & Documentation: Monitor patients’ condition, evaluate effectiveness of care, and document all necessary information.

• Educational Support: Assess patient and family education needs, provide teaching materials, and confirm understanding.

• Medication & Treatment: Administer prescribed medications and carry out treatments as per approved protocols.

• Team Collaboration: Work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal care delivery.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or an equivalent qualification is required.

• Experience: A minimum of two (2) years’ post-graduate experience in a general surgery/operating room setting.

• Licensing: Valid and current national nursing license is required.

• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support): Required from AHA or an equivalent organization (or must be obtained within 3 months of employment).

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): Required or must be obtained within 6 months of employment.

• Skills:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

  • Experience with electronic medical records is preferred.

  • Arabic language skills are a plus but not mandatory.
