Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC), a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi, is seeking a Perfusionist to assist cardiac surgeons during complex cardiac surgeries. This role involves operating heart-lung machines, monitoring patient conditions, and ensuring safe extracorporeal circulation. The ideal candidate will have pediatric experience, strong data management skills, and expertise in advanced life-support techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and manage extracorporeal circulation systems for adult and pediatric patients.
• Monitor and maintain blood gases, anticoagulation levels, and hypothermia induction.
• Assist in cardiac surgeries, including administering blood products and anesthetic agents.
• Utilize specialized equipment such as ECMO, intra-aortic balloon pumps, ventricular assist devices, and autologous blood processing.
• Maintain data integrity, quality assurance, and compliance with health information management protocols.
• Train and mentor junior staff and contribute to clinical audits and risk management.
• Oversee budgeting, procurement, and workflow management within the department.

Job Requirements:

• BSc in a science-related field + Postgraduate Diploma/Certificate in Perfusion.
• Current national license, registration with the Society of Perfusionists of Great Britain and Ireland or the European Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Perfusionist, with pediatric experience required.
• Proficiency in English (Arabic is a plus).
• Strong analytical, multitasking, and decision-making skills.
