SPM Shipping is seeking an experienced Offshore Chartering Manager to drive vessel employment and revenue generation for its offshore fleet. The ideal candidate will have strong industry connections within oil & gas, offshore renewable energy, and marine logistics, ensuring maximum vessel utilization through spot and long-term contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

Chartering & Business Development:

✅ Market and secure employment for offshore vessels across sectors like oil & gas, renewable energy, marine construction, and towing services.
✅ Develop strong relationships with oil majors, EPC contractors, drilling companies, and offshore service providers.
✅ Negotiate and finalize time charters, bareboat charters, and spot fixtures with optimal commercial terms.
✅ Identify and capitalize on upcoming offshore projects and Invitation to Tender (ITT) opportunities.

Market Intelligence & Strategy:

✔ Analyze E&P activities, vessel supply-demand trends, and competitor strategies.
✔ Monitor industry developments, FPSO deployments, oil price fluctuations, and regulatory changes.
✔ Develop pricing strategies and commercial models to maximize fleet earnings.

Contract & Risk Management:

✔ Negotiate BIMCO Supplytime, Towcon, Towhire, and Bareboat Charter Agreements.
✔ Assess operational feasibility, risk exposure, and financial implications of charter deals.
✔ Work with legal and finance teams to ensure contract enforceability and risk mitigation.

Post-Fixture Operations:

✔ Oversee chartered vessel operations, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
✔ Monitor Dynamic Positioning (DP) capabilities, vessel performance, and downtime.
✔ Manage invoicing, laytime calculations, off-hire claims, and fuel adjustments.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

🎯 8-10 years of proven experience in offshore vessel chartering and employment.
🎯 Established network with offshore operators, brokers, and oilfield service providers.
🎯 Strong negotiation and contract management skills, particularly in BIMCO charter agreements.
🎯 In-depth knowledge of offshore logistics, vessel specifications, and compliance requirements.
