Exciting Opportunity for a Materials Engineer in Dubai!

Our Tier 1 Main Contracting Client is seeking a highly experienced Materials Engineer to join their team for a high-profile new build project in Dubai. This is a 3-6 month contract role, with the potential to transition to a permanent position. If you have a strong background in materials engineering within the UAE construction sector—especially in malls, high-rises, or hotel projects—this is your chance to be part of an industry-leading team!

Key Responsibilities:

• Review material submittals and ensure approvals align with project specifications and standards.

• Oversee scheduling and control of construction materials and equipment.

• Conduct on-site material inspections to verify compliance with project requirements.

• Coordinate with sub-contractors and oversee material testing procedures.

• Maintain and organize project-related documentation, reports, and inspection records.

• Ensure that only approved materials are used in construction activities.

• Identify and report potential conflicts or material-related issues with proposed solutions.

• Collect and verify Certificates of Compliance, MSDS, and inspection tags.

• Participate in quality control procedures and job safety initiatives.

• Perform engineering calculations, charts, and graphs for material-related assessments.

• Ensure materials are delivered, stored, and utilized as per specifications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 8 years of experience working with recognized main contractors in the UAE.

• Prior experience with mall, high-rise, or hotel construction is highly advantageous.

• Strong understanding of construction materials, inspection processes, and compliance standards.

• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.

• Proficiency in English communication (written and verbal).
