Marine Technical Surveyor – Global Maritime, UAE
Global Maritime Abu Dhabi , UAE

Global Maritime is seeking a Marine Technical Surveyor to provide expert technical assurance across vessels and offshore operations. This role involves conducting inspections, audits, technical investigations, and providing advisory support to clients and internal teams. The position requires strong marine engineering expertise, compliance knowledge, and experience with offshore DP vessels, jack-up barges, and lift-boats.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Assurance & Surveys:

  • Conduct DP marine assurance activities, including annual DP trials, FMEAs, and technical investigations.

  • Perform inspections, suitability surveys, and audits on DP and non-DP vessels, jack-up barges, and lift-boats.

  • Act as Independent Competent Person (ICP) for barge audits and intake inspections per ADNOC Offshore and JUIMS standards.

  • Carry out ROV audits according to IMCA standards and client-specific requirements.

Reporting & Advisory:

  • Prepare high-quality technical reports, manuals, FMEA reports, DP gap analyses, CAMO, and ASOG documentation.

  • Provide expert technical advice to clients and internal teams, representing Global Maritime as a trusted advisor.

  • Attend vessels for jacking trials, incident follow-ups, and repair verification.

Business & Compliance Support:

  • Support business development by promoting company services and contributing to growth.

  • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety, Quality standards, Equal Opportunities, and company values.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the GM Business Management System (BMS).

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Unlimited COC Chief Engineer certification.

  • Proven experience in technical marine inspections of jack-up barges and lift-boats.

  • Strong background in DP vessels, rigs, and offshore operations at senior/management level.

  • Knowledge of ADNOC Offshore standards, JUIMS requirements, IMCA guidelines, and maritime legislation.

  • Competence in FMEA/FMECA, DP trials, barge audits, jacking trials, and vessel suitability surveys.

  • Excellent technical report writing and client-facing communication skills.

  • Highly motivated, self-driven, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
