Bureau Veritas North America is seeking a Marine Advisor to act as the company’s marine representative, supporting offshore installation works. This contract-based, on-site role involves vessel inspections, monitoring marine operations, participating in audits, and ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards in the offshore oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections of marine vessels and offshore operations.

• Monitor vessels and participate in marine operations related to offshore lifts and installation activities.

• Prepare Scope of Work (SOW) and specifications for vessel tenders.

• Review Risk Assessments (RA) and participate in technical evaluations of vessels.

• Conduct contractor audits (ISM and ASMC) and witness marine operations.

• Participate in and conduct incident investigations.

• Liaise with BV and ADNOC as required for approvals and reporting.

Qualifications:

• Unlimited Class One (1) Master Mariner Certificate of Competence CoC STCW 1995 and amendments from a white-listed country.

• BSc Degree in Maritime Discipline or equivalent.

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in offshore oil and gas industry as Master on PSV, AHTS, Heavy Lift, Dive, Construction, Pipe Lay, Cable Lay, DP, or conventional vessels.

• Familiarity with ADNOC offshore fields, SIMO, ASMV, ASMC, and JUIMS.

• Strong computer skills and report writing experience.

• Excellent spoken and written English.

• Final approval subject to successful interview with Bureau Veritas and ADNOC.
