Outlier is seeking skilled Mandarin Chinese (Simplified) language experts to contribute to the development of cutting-edge artificial intelligence models. This is a freelance, remote opportunity offering flexible hours, allowing you to work on your own schedule while applying your linguistic and writing expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Review and rank AI-generated responses written in Simplified Chinese.

• Write original short stories in Simplified Chinese on assigned topics.

• Evaluate the factual accuracy of AI-generated content in Simplified Chinese.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Fluency in written Simplified Chinese.

• Experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Professional translation

  • Writing (copywriting, journalism, technical writing, editing, etc.)

  • Academic background in humanities, writing, or creative disciplines

• Strong analytical and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.

Compensation:

• Average pay is USD $20 per hour for core project tasks.

• Actual rates may vary depending on experience, qualifications, project type, and assessment results.

• Higher rates may be available for individuals with advanced degrees (e.g., PhDs).
