Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Job Purpose

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the preventive and breakdown maintenance of all equipment and assets owned by HEFD and HEFT. This role involves managing maintenance activities, manpower, spare parts inventory, technical training, and maintenance costs. Additionally, the position includes technical inspections of new equipment/spare parts and assisting in both routine and project-related maintenance work.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Maintenance & Equipment Management

  • Oversee routine maintenance activities for Mechanical and E&I equipment, including preventive and breakdown maintenance.
  • Ensure maintenance programs follow industry best practices, IMS, and HTL guidelines.
  • Supervise the installation, maintenance, and servicing of all equipment and infrastructure.
  • Monitor and enforce AMC contractor requirements and certification/re-certification of critical maintenance-related equipment.
  • Implement and maintain maintenance procedures, work instructions, and checklists.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records and equipment history for all critical assets.

🔹 Planning & Coordination

  • Supervise and execute preventive maintenance as per the approved annual plan.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, initiate reorders, and coordinate procurement.
  • Work closely with operations for pre-commissioning and commissioning of new facilities.
  • Collaborate with the HETL Technical Engineer and Terminal Superintendent for project execution.
  • Participate in technical evaluations of manufacturers, service providers, and suppliers.

🔹 Team & Safety Management

  • Train, equip, and motivate the maintenance team to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective operations.
  • Support EHS audits, risk assessments, and safety reviews for maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with Environment, Health & Safety policies within the maintenance team.
  • Act as part of the Emergency Response Team, ensuring periodic maintenance of Fire Fighting Systems.
  • Coordinate with the EHSSQ Manager for inspections, audits, and follow-ups.

🔹 Budgeting & Reporting

  • Assist in preparing annual Opex and Capex budgets for maintenance.
  • Track and analyze maintenance KPIs, such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, and schedule adherence.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports, analyzing data to optimize performance.

🔹 IMS Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure maintenance operations align with IMS Quality (QM), Environment (EMS), and Safety (OHS) standards.
  • Participate in IMS audits, periodic reviews, and meetings.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement to minimize unplanned downtime and enhance efficiency.

Skills & Qualifications

Education: Engineering Degree / Higher Diploma (Preferably in Mechanical Engineering)
Experience: Minimum 8 years in Terminals, Oil & Gas, Chemical, or Refinery industries in a supervisory role.
Technical Skills: Maintenance planning, troubleshooting, equipment reliability, and compliance management.
Behavioral Competencies: Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written English skills.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in maintenance reporting and documentation tools.
