The Loss Control Specialist develops and manages programs to identify and mitigate risks that may lead to financial or operational loss. The role focuses on reducing claims frequency and severity, minimizing insurance liability, and ensuring regulatory compliance while improving customer service and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and administer programs to reduce potential loss to the company.

Coordinate claims paperwork and vehicle repair to reduce insurance premiums and administrative costs.

Generate and analyze reports on vehicle accounts with high loss ratios and recommend interventions.

Develop short- and long-term plans to reduce accident-related loss.

Ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.

Verify repair history of vehicles and update management for approvals on repair budgets.

Manage quality inspections of second-life and accident vehicles before delivery.

Maintain records of wear & tear guide distribution to customers.

Maintain low loss ratios and reduce liability settlements through better negotiation and recoveries.

Introduce initiatives to improve process efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Perform other related duties as required.
Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree.

Experience in loss control in logistics, rental, or transportation sectors.

Strong fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Excellent written, verbal, and collaboration skills.
