ACWA Power is a leading developer, investor, and operator of power and desalinated water plants across the Middle East and North Africa. The company is seeking a Local Field Operator to monitor and manage operational parameters of RO Water desalination units while coordinating with CCR Operators to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient plant operations. The role involves adherence to safety procedures, performing equipment changeovers, maintaining logs, and responding to emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor plant operation parameters locally and record periodic readings in log sheets.

• Summarize shift activities and report abnormalities to CCR Operator/Shift Supervisor.

• Perform equipment changeovers according to pre-set schedules and raise work requests for faulty equipment.

• Inspect plant areas and auxiliaries to ensure equipment operates within limits.

• Coordinate with CCR Operator/Shift Supervisor for equipment isolation and system maintenance.

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

• Assist in training and familiarization of new operators.

• Report near misses and implement prescribed risk controls.

• Maintain clean and organized work areas.

Health, Safety, Security & Environment Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all HSE procedures, instructions, and controls.

• Ensure fire safety equipment knowledge and compliance.

• Guarantee environmental compliance and employee safety.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum Technical Diploma in Engineering.

• 1–3 years’ experience in field operations of RO Water desalination units.

• Knowledge of plant equipment and operational processes (RO, MSF, MED Plants).

• Awareness of HSE and quality standards.

• Ability to identify, classify, and dispose of waste properly.

• Familiarity with firefighting equipment and emergency procedures.

• Attention to detail, effective teamwork, and collaboration skills.

• Good communication skills and ability to work under supervision.
