Job Description:

Marriott International is seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing and cooking food according to high-quality standards, ensuring exceptional service and guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and presentation standards.

  • Ensure food is prepared in accordance with portion control and garnish guidelines.

  • Thaw frozen food items in the refrigerator and maintain food temperature to ensure safety.

  • Monitor food quality and quantity, and communicate with management if excess food is available for use in daily specials.

  • Collaborate with the Chef and kitchen team to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of meals.

  • Maintain food logs, ensuring proper hygiene and cleanliness of food preparation areas.

  • Inform the Food & Beverage staff about menu specials and out-of-stock items.

  • Provide assistance during peak hours and busy periods to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

  • Maintain a safe and clean environment by following safety, sanitation, and security policies and procedures.

  • Assist with training new kitchen staff as required and maintain high standards of teamwork.

  • Comply with safety training and certifications, and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.

  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary company information and protect company assets.

  • Ensure that uniform and personal appearance are professional and clean.

  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and handle objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Technical Trade or Vocational School Degree in Culinary Arts.

  • Experience: At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a kitchen setting.

  • Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.

  • Certification: No specific license or certification required.

  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and commitment to delivering high-quality food.
