Liwa International School – Al Qattara, a part of Liwa Education, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Librarian to join their dynamic team for the academic year starting August 2025. The Librarian will play a pivotal role in supporting the school’s mission by managing library resources, promoting literacy, and assisting in the development of information literacy skills among students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the school library, ensuring an organized and welcoming environment.

• Curate and maintain a diverse collection of print and digital resources aligned with the curriculum.

• Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into classroom instruction.

• Conduct library orientation sessions for students and staff.

• Promote reading and information literacy through programs and activities.

• Manage the circulation of library materials and maintain accurate records.

• Assist students and staff in accessing and utilizing library resources effectively.

• Stay updated on current trends in library science and education technology.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Information Science, or a related field.

• A minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a School Librarian.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.

• Familiarity with library management systems and educational technologies.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
