OSN is hiring a Legal Counsel to support commercial departments in handling legal matters, particularly focusing on content licensing, distribution, and compliance. The role involves drafting and negotiating contracts, managing commercial partnerships, ensuring regulatory compliance, and assisting in dispute resolution. The ideal candidate should have 8+ years of post-qualification experience, preferably in media law, and a license to practice law in a common law jurisdiction.

Key Responsibilities:

📌 Content Contracts – Draft and negotiate content licensing, commissioning, and production agreements.
📌 Sales & Marketing Support – Handle sale and distribution agreements, marketing contracts, and promotional activities.
📌 Partnership Agreements – Assist in B2B and commercial partnership contracts.
📌 Carriage & Redistribution – Support drafting distribution agreements for IPTV, telcos, and OTT platforms.
📌 Regulatory Compliance – Ensure censorship and content regulations compliance across the region.
📌 Procurement & Internal Compliance – Manage internal sign-off processes and ensure adherence to company policies.
📌 Dispute Resolution – Assist in resolving contractual disputes when required.
📌 General Advisory – Provide legal guidance on licensing, data protection, and operational effectiveness.

Required Skills & Experience:

✔ Experience: Minimum 8 years post-qualification in a law firm or media company.
✔ Legal Expertise: Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and regulatory compliance skills.
✔ Industry Knowledge: Prior media, broadcasting, or telecom experience is preferred.
✔ Education: Bachelor’s degree in law; licensed to practice in a common law jurisdiction.
✔ Commercial Contracts: Proven experience in media contracts, distribution, and procurement.
✔ Communication: Strong command of legal English, contract interpretation, and interpersonal skills.
✔ IT Skills: Comfortable using legal and business management systems.
