A&O Shearman is seeking an experienced Arabic-speaking Legal Consultant (5+ PQE) for interim opportunities based in the UAE (Dubai or Abu Dhabi). Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake legal assignments in-house with major clients or within A&O Shearman’s UAE practice.

• Provide support on projects such as regulatory reforms, transactional work, and business-critical legal operations.

• Adapt quickly to client environments and align with their internal legal teams.

• Maintain high professional standards and work collaboratively with clients and colleagues.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) at a top-tier law firm.

• Prior in-house or secondment experience is highly preferred.

• Fluent in Arabic (spoken and written) with professional legal communication skills.

• Holding a current practicing certificate (or equivalent legal qualification).

• Strong academic background.

• Willingness to work on-site in Abu Dhabi or Dubai (with hybrid options available).
