• TAQA Distribution is hiring a Lead, Power Project Contract Management professional to oversee and manage the full contract lifecycle for power projects. This on-site, full-time role is based in Abu Dhabi and involves leading negotiations, ensuring contract compliance, managing vendor performance, and mitigating associated risks. The ideal candidate will play a crucial part in ensuring effective contract administration, enhancing vendor relationships, and driving successful project outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:

Contract Management & Compliance:

• Oversee contract administration across the project lifecycle

• Ensure all contractual obligations are met and address related disputes

• Draft, review, and negotiate contract terms with vendors and contractors

• Track deliverables, amendments, and compliance metrics

• Maintain accurate contract documentation and change orders

Vendor and Performance Management:

• Evaluate vendor performance and enforce quality and milestone adherence

• Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors

• Analyze contract financials to assess profitability and risk

Reporting & Documentation:

• Prepare detailed reports on contract performance and risk assessments

• Ensure documentation aligns with company standards and policies

• Monitor contract risks and implement mitigation strategies

Policy and Process Alignment:

• Ensure compliance with internal policies and the Group’s Delegation of Authority

• Report timely and effectively to senior management

HSE, Security, and Risk Compliance:

• Adhere to company’s HSE protocols

• Report hazards, incidents, and ensure safety compliance

People Management:

• Demonstrate leadership, integrity, and strong communication

• Encourage team development and align efforts with organizational values

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in contract or project management

• Strong negotiation, communication, and documentation skills

• Proven experience in vendor evaluation and risk management

• Familiarity with UAE-based power/infrastructure projects is a plus
