Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) is looking for a Lead Data Scientist to design, prototype, and build next-generation advanced analytics engines and services. The ideal candidate will have expertise in machine learning, data mining, and information retrieval, and work closely with cross-functional teams to implement scalable and sustainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement complex models and algorithms to drive analytical solutions.

• Conduct advanced statistical analysis to identify trends and measure performance.

• Collaborate with business teams to implement effective data science solutions.

• Coordinate with Data Engineers to deliver comprehensive analytical solutions.

• Lead cross-functional projects and provide insights for strategic decisions.

• Develop and maintain reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards, and performance metrics.

• Build and deliver data science courses for the Digital Academy.

• Monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.

• Support the development of analytical models and their ongoing maintenance.

Qualifications & Skills:

• BSc, MS/PhD in Computer Science, Electronics, Computer Applications, Statistics, Mathematics, or related technical fields.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in data science or statistical roles.

• Experience in machine learning, optimization, and working with large datasets.

• Proficiency in Python, R, Java, SQL, and data analysis tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).

• Experience with visualizing and presenting data using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Business Objects.

• Domain knowledge of the metal and mining, energy, heavy industry, or oil and gas sectors is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and data mining principles.

• Familiarity with distributed computing or NoSQL technologies is a plus.

• Experience working with data architectures and Industry 4.0 technologies is advantageous.

• Agile methodology knowledge and ability to work in dynamic environments.
