Job Title: Kitchen Assistant

Job Description:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support daily operations in a busy kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth kitchen workflow by supporting chefs and other kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in basic food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling dishes.

• Maintain hygiene by cleaning kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment as per sanitation standards.

• Wash dishes and kitchenware either manually or using dishwashing equipment.

• Organize and replenish kitchen supplies and inventory efficiently.

• Properly dispose of food waste and recycling in designated bins.

• Support chefs by garnishing dishes, fetching ingredients, and helping with plating.

• Adhere strictly to food safety regulations and hygiene protocols.

• Maintain a tidy work area by sweeping, mopping, and taking out the trash regularly.

• Follow all internal policies and safety procedures consistently.

• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure kitchen operations run smoothly.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Prior kitchen experience preferred but not mandatory.

• Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced setting.

• Good teamwork, communication, and multitasking abilities.

• Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.

• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

• Basic understanding of hygiene and food safety is a plus.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
