Job Title: Junior Accountant

Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join our finance team, specializing in construction and interior fit-out accounting. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, processing payments, managing project costs, and ensuring VAT compliance in line with UAE regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records including ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, and petty cash.

• Process supplier invoices, employee expense claims, and subcontractor payments.

• Reconcile bank statements and monitor financial transactions.

• Support month-end and year-end financial closures.

• Track construction project expenses, retention payments, and overhead allocations.

• Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT returns per UAE standards.

• Collaborate with project and procurement teams to support budgeting and cost control.

• Maintain a well-organized documentation system for all accounting and audit records.

• Coordinate with external auditors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders when needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• 1–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction or fit-out industry.

• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and accounting best practices.

• Proficient in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, SAGE, or ERP systems.

• Advanced Excel skills and attention to detail.

• Strong organizational and time management capabilities.

• Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently.
