Job Title: Junior Accountant

Job Description:

Arabian Trading Agency, a premier distributor of Watches, Home Appliances, and Consumer Electronics in the UAE, is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in sales invoicing, reconciliation, financial data entry, and reporting, as well as managing debtor/creditor ageing and petty cash. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sales Invoicing & Reporting: Process and manage sales invoices, assist with inter-company reconciliation, and prepare daily and monthly sales reports.

• Purchases & Credit Management: Entry of purchase transactions and handling credit notes and purchase returns. Maintain receivable ledger accuracy and make necessary corrections.

• Bank Receipts Management: Allocate and account for cheques received from trade debtors, ensuring timely deposit with banks.

• Receivables & Payables: Monitor and update debtor and creditor ageing reports to ensure timely collections and payments.

• Petty Cash Management: Manage petty cash receipts, payments, and daily reconciliation of physical cash.

• Reporting: Prepare and send salesman-wise receivables outstanding reports to the Marketing Division.

• VAT & Compliance: Assist in VAT submission and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.

• Forecasting & Budgeting: Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting activities.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of work experience in accounting or finance.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.

• Technical Skills: Proficient in Focus ERP, Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), and familiarity with VAT and tax invoicing.

• Financial Understanding: Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements, reports, and periodicals.

• Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing financial transactions.

Preferred Candidate:

• Experience: 2-4 years of accounting experience.

• Age: Between 25-30 years.

• Location: Residing in Dubai, UAE.
