Inventory Manager/Controller – Maritime & Shipping (Full-Time, Dubai)
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Manager/Controller to oversee vessel inventory turnover for a leading shipping company. This role ensures that spare parts, equipment, and consumables are efficiently stocked, tracked, and distributed across the fleet. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory control, supply chain management, and procurement, preferably within the maritime or shipping industry.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Inventory Management & Control:

Maintain accurate inventory records for vessel spare parts, tools, and consumables using ERP systems.

Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste, loss, and overstocking.

Conduct regular audits and inspections of warehouse and vessel inventories.

Optimize stock levels to ensure continuous vessel operations while reducing holding costs.

Coordinate inventory movement between warehouses and vessels.

Work closely with vessel crews to understand their supply needs and optimize delivery schedules.
✅ Procurement & Supplier Coordination:

Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure the timely sourcing and delivery of materials.

Assist in procurement from ship requests to placing orders and delivery.

Manage supply delivery schedules to vessel locations.
-
Accept and oversee deliveries onboard vessels when required.
✅ Work Environment & Travel:
-
Office-based role in JLT, Dubai, with occasional visits to warehouses, suppliers, and vessels.

Hybrid/remote work allowed upon request.
-
Frequent travel to ports in UAE, KSA, India, and other locations for inventory inspections.
Requirements
🎯 2+ years of experience in inventory control, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in the maritime/shipping industry OR prior seaman experience on any vessel type.
🎯 Strong knowledge of offshore vessel equipment and components for better spare parts management.
🎯 Proficiency in inventory management software / ERP systems.
🎯 Excellent skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
🎯 Fluency in English; knowledge of Russian is a plus.
🎯 Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and handle dynamic situations.
Salary & Benefits
💰 USD 1,500 per month (inclusive of fixed allowances).
📍 Based in UAE with international travel opportunities.
