AtkinsRéalis, a global leader in design, engineering, and project management, is seeking a HSEW Officer to join their team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards across large-scale construction projects, driving safe operations, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing project safety, risk assessments, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct site inspections of work areas, tools, equipment, vehicles, and offices.

• Identify and address HSE non-conformances according to severity.

• Develop and implement the Emergency Response Plan.

• Perform monthly HSE self-audits and prepare detailed reports.

• Upload and manage HSE data in BlueSky (AtkinsRéalis HSE Data Management Portal).

• Submit HSE reports to clients and stakeholders.

• Identify and deliver training needs for subcontractor personnel.

• Conduct toolbox talks (TBTs) and training sessions for project staff.

• Ensure implementation of AtkinsRéalis BlueBook GHSEMS.

• Provide HSE documentation, guidance, and support to site managers and supervisors.

• Maintain communication with client representatives and subcontractor HSE officers.

• Lead site HSE inspections, incident investigations, and corrective action follow-ups.

• Chair joint H&S committee meetings and participate in project-level discussions.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or related field.

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in HSE roles within large-scale construction projects.

• Professional certifications: NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, OSHA (mandatory); advanced certifications (CHMM, CSP, ARM) preferred.

• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, international standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001), and best practices.

• Skilled in risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging diverse teams.

• Ability to implement and manage HSE systems effectively.

• Proficiency in HSE software tools and reporting platforms.

• Strong organizational skills, capable of working under pressure and managing priorities.
