Hill International, Inc. is hiring an HSE Officer to assist management in implementing project-specific Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management Systems in line with corporate and client requirements. This role involves supporting safety culture initiatives, reviewing and approving HSE plans, task-specific risk assessments, and ensuring the proper implementation of safety measures on-site. Responsibilities include conducting proactive HSE audits, supervising HSE-critical systems, investigating incidents, and preparing reports. The HSE Officer will also assist in the delivery of HSE training, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of HSE practices and legislation.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 12 years of experience in the health, safety, and environmental field
- Strong technical/engineering knowledge and proficiency in English and MS Office
- In-depth understanding of local HSE regulations and procedures per UAE and Abu Dhabi laws
- Minimum 3 years of experience with a master’s degree in HSE, or 4 years with a bachelor’s degree or NEBOSH Diploma
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience with Post-Secondary HSE Qualification (NVQ level 5/6)
- Membership in a recognized international professional body (e.g., IOSH) with a demonstrable CPD record
- Working knowledge of OSHAD, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001 (desirable)
- Experience in landscape and infrastructure projects
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Abu Dhabi
