Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned HSE Manager to oversee health, safety, and environmental operations on infrastructure and building construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, in-depth regulatory knowledge, and a proactive approach to managing risk and promoting a culture of safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce HSE policies and procedures that meet local and international standards

• Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards

• Lead and manage HSE teams, promoting safety accountability across all levels

• Investigate incidents and near misses thoroughly and recommend corrective measures

• Collaborate with project and subcontractor teams to align HSE strategies with project goals

• Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics and drive continuous improvement

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UAE HSE laws and global best practices

• Represent AtkinsRéalis in client and regulatory meetings, demonstrating expertise in HSE issues

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in HSE management, with at least 5 years in the UAE

• Minimum 5 years in a senior/managerial HSE role

• Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent

• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Certification

• Strong working knowledge of DM and ADOSH regulations

• Demonstrated leadership skills and effective communication abilities

• Proven experience in building and infrastructure construction

• Fluency in Arabic and English preferred

• Must be currently residing in the UAE and available for face-to-face interviews

• Arabic nationality is a requirement for this position
