ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC is seeking a qualified HSE Engineer to join their team in Abu Dhabi to support Health, Safety, and Environmental management within power substation and overhead transmission lines projects. This full-time, on-site role is responsible for implementing HSE policies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring a safe working environment by enforcing safety standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain company HSE policies, procedures, and project-specific HSE plans.

• Conduct daily HSE awareness sessions and toolbox talks for the workforce.

• Ensure all Permit to Work (PTW) procedures are followed for all relevant tasks.

• Perform and verify HSE risk assessment control measures are correctly applied.

• Conduct regular daily inspections of project sites to ensure safe work practices.

• Report any incidents, including unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, near misses, and accidents.

• Enforce safety rules with authority to stop unsafe or nonconforming work.

• Supervise and lead subcontractors’ HSE officers to ensure compliance.

• Record monthly HSE key performance indicators and prepare HSE reports.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical), Environmental Science, or related Safety field.

• Essential certifications: NEBOSH IGC, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001.

• 5 to 7 years of relevant HSE experience, including UAE experience.

• Approved TAQA HSE Engineer certification is a plus.

• Experience in power substations and overhead transmission line projects.

• Proficient in English and skilled in MS Office applications.
