Hostel Supervisor – Female Hostel (For UAE Nationals Only)

Ajman University is seeking a responsible and dedicated Hostel Supervisor to manage and oversee the female student hostel under the Student Housing office. The role involves ensuring high standards of hospitality and customer service, managing administrative tasks, supervising daily hostel operations, and ensuring the welfare and safety of resident students. The supervisor will enforce hostel rules, coordinate maintenance and transportation services, and support student activities and clearance procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure high levels of hospitality and customer service within the female hostel.

  • Manage and follow up on administrative office work related to hostel operations.

  • Implement and supervise daily operational workflows as per hostel policies and procedures.

  • Supervise female hostel shifts to guarantee compliance with rules, regulations, and safety standards.

  • Oversee welfare and safety of students and protect university assets within the hostel.

  • Attend reception duties, receive visitors, and enforce disciplinary codes and regulations.

  • Advise students on queries related to hostel life and support their wellbeing.

  • Report and follow up on maintenance requirements with relevant departments.

  • Maintain proper files and records for hostel operations.

  • Assist with online student reservation systems and permissions.

  • Arrange procedures for new students, including room keys and access cards.

  • Coordinate with transportation services for shuttle buses, airport trips, and other outings.

  • Monitor clearance and release processes continuously.

  • Communicate deadlines and important procedures to resident students.

  • Promote and encourage learning activities and social events among students.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma with at least 2 years of relevant experience.

  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic.

  • Strong customer service focus and excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and telephone/email communication protocols.

  • Willingness to work shifts.

  • Experience working with youth is advantageous.
