Job Description:
QIQ is seeking Physician Engineers with strong technical expertise who can bridge the gap between medicine and technology. In this role, you will design, prototype, and implement AI-driven healthcare solutions that transform clinical workflows. This position requires a unique blend of clinical knowledge, programming skills, and AI/ML expertise to deliver impactful, secure, and compliant products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop AI/ML models for clinical decision support, healthcare automation, and data analysis.

• Work with medical data pipelines (EHR, EMR, claims, imaging, etc.) to build scalable and compliant solutions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create validated healthcare workflows and applications.

• Translate clinical challenges into technical problem statements with innovative solutions.

• Ensure compliance with healthcare standards (HIPAA, GDPR, HL7, FHIR).

• Contribute across the entire product lifecycle, from concept to deployment.

Qualifications:

• Medical Degree (MBBS/MD), preferably General Practitioner with broad clinical exposure.

• Strong programming skills in Python, R, or equivalent.

• Proven experience in AI/ML model development (NLP, computer vision, predictive analytics).

• Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, policies, and security frameworks.

• Experience handling structured and unstructured medical datasets.

• Ability to work collaboratively across clinical, technical, and product teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of FHIR/HL7 standards and healthcare data interoperability.

• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and MLOps pipelines.

• Contributions to open-source healthtech/AI projects.

• Familiarity with ethical AI practices and regulatory compliance in healthcare.
