University Hospital Sharjah is seeking a Health Care Assistant for its Emergency Room (ER) department. This is a full-time, on-site position ideal for candidates with a compassionate approach to patient care and the ability to work in high-pressure environments. The Health Care Assistant will support nursing and medical staff by providing direct and indirect patient care, ensuring patients’ needs are met efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist nursing staff in the provision of basic patient care such as hygiene, mobility support, and feeding

• Monitor and record patient vitals under supervision

• Support emergency room procedures and help maintain a clean and safe environment

• Transport patients within the hospital as required

• Maintain accurate documentation and report changes in patients’ conditions to the medical team

• Ensure infection control policies and hospital protocols are strictly followed

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in an ER or hospital environment preferred

• Basic healthcare training or certification is required

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced emergency department
